A little girl playing on the shoreline of Lake Michigan, collecting tiny fossilized plants with holes in them called "Indian Beads", looks up and envisions an Indian girl watching her. The Indian girl, captivated by the little girls determination to find the tiny rocks, whimsically ponders her heritage. Honored by the girls curiosity, the Indian girl nears closer, drawing a string of mysterious beads from her pouch and hands them to the girl. The girl, bashful but graciously accepting, puts out her hands filled with new-found beads, in meaniful exhange with Indian girl. In that moment, the two smile warmly, delighted with their encounter. As the Indian girl walks off into the distance, the girl stands open-mouthed with shaky knees, bewildered, alternating her gaze between to the silhouette of the Indian girl, and the necklace in her palms. The Indian girl, wise in her gait, looks up at the sun, detecting the east-ward movement of air.

Where fish sleep

Later that nite, the boy and 'Fish-boy' contemplate their fears. While 'Fish-boy' contemplates his lack of faith, the boy lay worried that he will never learn to swim; qualities that the other one has. As the two lay wakeless, they fondly think of their kinship, wishing brightness to the other. Though they may not be physically sharing the same space, 'Fish-boy' and the boy fall asleep sharing the same dreams, escaping fate.

'Fish-boy' finds a worm

A little boy playing on the sand-dunes of Lake Michigan envisions a pecuilar creature swimming on the shoreline. As he nears closer, he watches the 'Fish-boy' morph into a more human-like being as he comes onto land. Partly scared, partly elated, the boy clings to a tree to get a closer look at 'Fish-boy'. 'Fish-boy' notices the boy and walks closer to discover the boy clenching on to a worm he found during his adventure. As 'Fish-boy' and the boy stand in a brief, silent exchange of stares, they closely inspect one another. In a final moment of approval, the boy shyly offers 'Fish-boy' the worm as a momento of their bizarre encounter. The two part ways, mystified and deeply affected by the experience.
